Barkai Lodge

Barkai (L'Aurore) Lodge No. 17, OR. Tel Aviv – Jaffa, of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons was consecrated on April 2nd, 1906, and is the oldest active masonic Lodge in Israel

The Lodge meets twice a month, on the First and Third Tuesday. The Rites are performed in the Hebrew language. Dress code is Black tie. The Lodge is located in 4 Berkovich St, Tel Aviv, on the 4th floor

Barkai, literally translated into "the shining one" or "the radiant one" is the ancient Hebrew name for the dawn star (Aurore). In the ancient temple of Solomon, the priests would call out "Barkai!" to proclaim the start of dawn of a new day
